JMM Launches Statewide Campaign to Strengthen Organization from Booth to Panchayat Level, Workers to be Trained on SIR

Ranchi, June 2: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has launched a statewide organizational campaign to strengthen its grassroots network in view of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the upcoming Census. Acting on the directions of JMM Central President and Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the party has intensified efforts to mobilize workers and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from the panchayat level down to individual polling booths.

As part of the initiative, JMM Central General Secretary and spokesperson Vinod Kumar Pandey has begun a statewide organizational tour. According to the party's schedule, meetings will be held in Chaibasa on June 2, in East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan on June 3, and in Simdega on June 4.

The meetings will be attended by district, block, and booth-level office bearers, along with BLAs. The primary objective is to train party workers on the SIR process, voter list verification, and census-related issues so they can effectively inform and assist the public.

Vinod Kumar Pandey alleged that the BJP is attempting to politicize issues such as SIR to influence democratic processes. He said that JMM workers would create awareness at every booth and ensure that any alleged conspiracy against democratic rights does not succeed.

He further criticized the BJP for taking credit for central government schemes while remaining silent on issues concerning Jharkhand's rights, pending dues, and the state's rightful share in its mineral resources.

Pandey also raised concerns over inflation, unemployment, farmers' income, legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP), and rising prices, questioning the Centre's approach to these issues. He emphasized that despite Jharkhand contributing significantly to the country's coal, iron ore, and other mineral resources, the state has yet to receive its full and fair share of benefits.
