'Coal Neer' Plant Inaugurated in Piparwar; Mine Water to Provide Safe Drinking Water
Ranchi/Piparwar: Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy virtually inaugurated the 'Coal Neer' plant, located in CCL's Piparwar area, from Delhi. This state-of-the-art plant has the capacity to purify 25 kiloliters of water daily and can fill 40 bottles (in 500 ml and 1-liter sizes) per minute.
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey, Coal Secretary Vikram Dev Dutt, and CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, along with several senior officials, were present at the event. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that 'Coal Neer' is a significant initiative that realizes the 'Waste-to-Wealth' concept and the 'Har Ghar Jal' (Water for Every Household) resolve.
A notable feature of this plant is that it will be operated entirely by women. Women from self-help groups have been trained to run the facility, thereby providing employment to local women and ensuring the availability of clean, safe drinking water in the surrounding areas.
