Aditya Sahu: “People of Jharkhand Blessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Their Good Wishes”
Ranchi: The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a series of programmes across the state to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The day was observed as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, with BJP workers and members of the public participating in various activities.
A major highlight was the ‘Diya of Blessings’ programme, under which people lit lamps at homes, temples, offices, establishments and public places, praying for the Prime Minister’s good health and long life.
21,000 Diyas Lit at Albert Ekka Chowk
A grand Deepotsav was organised at Albert Ekka Chowk in Ranchi, where around 21,000 diyas were lit as part of the celebrations.
Internationally acclaimed sand artists from Puri also created a sand portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Albert Ekka Chowk. The artwork was created courtesy of BJP State Working Committee member Ramesh Singh.
Similar Deepotsav programmes were organised at several locations across Jharkhand, including Ranchi, Koderma, Dhanbad, Palamu, Sahibganj, Deoghar, Chatra and Ramgarh.
Blood Donation Camps Organised Across Jharkhand
As part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, the BJP Yuva Morcha organised blood donation camps across the state.
A blood donation camp was organised at the BJP state office through Orchid Blood Centre. According to the BJP, party leaders and youth workers donated 50 units of blood at the camp.
Blood donation camps were also organised at Sarala Birla University in Mahilong and other locations.
Aditya Sahu Thanks People
BJP State President Aditya Sahu said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday was a proud occasion for BJP workers. He thanked the people of Jharkhand and party workers for their participation in the ‘Diya of Blessings’ programme.
Sahu said the initiative turned into a celebration of public participation, with people across Jharkhand lighting lamps and wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi good health and a long life.
He said that blood donation camps were organised from 11 AM, while at 7 PM, BJP workers, beneficiaries of Central Government schemes and members of the public simultaneously lit the ‘Diya of Blessings’ across the state.
Babulal Marandi Extends Birthday Wishes
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi also extended his wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and prayed for his healthy and long life.
Marandi said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India was moving towards development, self-reliance and empowerment.
BJP State Organisation General Secretary Karmveer Singh said that party workers observed the day as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and that people across Jharkhand participated by lighting diyas and extending their blessings to the Prime Minister.
