According to Tiwari, Home Guard personnel were deployed for duties during municipal elections, Ram Navami, Bakrid and various examinations, among other important assignments. However, the honorarium of several personnel has reportedly not been paid yet. He also said that the payment of Home Guard personnel deployed on Deoghar duty is reportedly still pending.

Tiwari said that the issue of delayed payment also came to light during interactions with women Home Guard personnel. According to him, the personnel said that delays in receiving their honorarium were causing financial difficulties, with some being forced to bear the burden of debt.
