Ranchi: The counselling process for admission to the 2026-27-28 session at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), General Ranchi, began on August 24, 2026. The counselling was conducted in three phases—First Round, Second Round and Spot Round—up to September 10, 2026.
According to the vacancy details released by the institute, 47 seats remain vacant across 14 trades. Of these, 26 seats are under the EWS category and 21 seats are under the PH category. No vacancies are listed under SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II, General (UR) and SMQ categories.
The highest number of vacancies are available in Turner (8 seats), Plumber (7), Fitter (6) and Welder (6). Vacancies are also available in other trades, including Electrician, Surveyor, Machinist, Mason, Sheet Metal Worker and Wireman. The institute has a total of 492 sanctioned seats.
Counselling for admission against the remaining vacant seats will also be held tomorrow. Eligible candidates can participate on a first-come, first-served basis.
