Former Chief Minister and former Governor of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das, has raised serious questions regarding alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC Preliminary Test (PT). He alleged that critical tasks related to the JPSC were entrusted to a private agency that had already been blacklisted in both Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, and demanded an impartial CBI inquiry into the matter.
Speaking at a press conference held at the BJP state office in Ranchi, Raghubar Das questioned how the JPSC could assign crucial responsibilities—ranging from 'One Time Registration' to the processing of final results—to an agency that had been blacklisted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) in 2025. He termed this a serious issue and emphasized the need for an impartial investigation.
The former Chief Minister alleged that the futures of lakhs of youths have been adversely affected by persistent irregularities, paper leaks, and mismanagement in competitive examinations across Jharkhand. He demanded a CBI probe into all past controversial recruitment exams, including the 14th JPSC PT.
Raghubar Das also targeted the Congress and its allied parties, stating that if they genuinely cared about the students, they should withdraw their support from the Jharkhand government. He remarked that opposition parties, who usually raise their voices against exam-related controversies at the national level, have remained silent on the issues facing the youth of Jharkhand.
He further demanded compensation of ₹1 crore each for the families of the 19 candidates who lost their lives during the physical endurance test (running event) for the Excise Constable recruitment.
BJP State Media In-charge Yogendra Pratap Singh and State Spokesperson Abhay Singh were also present at the press conference.
