Jharkhand/Ranchi(M Bharat 24 News Live) : A special meeting of the Tribal Pride Day Celebration Committee was held on Saturday at Arogya Bhavan, Bariatu, to review preparations for the upcoming celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on November 15, 2025.
It was decided that this year’s Tribal Pride Day will be celebrated at the Ramdayal Munda Football Stadium. The event will feature colorful tableaux from various tribes, traditional attire, drums (dhol-nagada, mandar), and vibrant folk dance troupes, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand’s tribal communities.
Around the stadium, cut-outs of freedom fighters will also be displayed.
The Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Gangwar, will grace the event as the Chief Guest.
Committee members stated that all workers and volunteers are working tirelessly to make the celebration a grand success.
During the meeting, concern was expressed about the damaged statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda near his Samadhi Sthal (memorial) at Kokar, Ranchi.
Bablu Munda, President of the Central Sarna Committee, and Soma Oraon, President of the Jharkhand Pradesh Mukhiya Sangh, urged the state government to install a new Ashtadhatu (eight-metal) statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at the earliest, emphasizing that any disrespect towards Bhagwan Birsa Munda will not be tolerated in the “Abua Sarkar” (our government).
