Coal-Laden Hyva Truck Overturns Due to Speeding; Driver Has Narrow Escape
Tandwa (Chatra): A major road accident was narrowly averted on Monday morning in Nai Param village, located beyond the Tandwa block headquarters. According to reports, a Hyva truck (JH 02 BX 0709) engaged in coal transportation lost control due to high speed and overturned by the roadside.
There were no reports of casualties or property damage in the incident. Fortunately, the driver survived unharmed and sustained no serious injuries. Following the accident, local villagers arrived at the scene and assisted with relief efforts.
Villagers state that accidents frequently occur on this route due to the speeding of heavy vehicles transporting coal. These recurring incidents are causing growing concern among local residents. They have urged the administration, NTPC management, and relevant departments to take concrete measures for road safety, control vehicle speeds, and ensure strict enforcement of traffic regulations.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway. Locals warn that unless effective safety measures are implemented promptly, a major tragedy could occur in the future.
