Driving License Camp Held in Village; Over 250 People Benefit

Ranchi, June 22: Villagers will no longer need to make repeated trips to the city to get a driving license. A special driving license camp was organized at Gudgain Panchayat in the Budhmu block of Ranchi district with the aim of bringing Transport Department services directly to the villages. The camp was inaugurated by Rajiv Ranjan, Secretary of the Transport Department.

A large number of villagers from Budhmu and surrounding areas attended the camp. More than 250 people received assistance and information regarding document verification, online applications, slot booking, and the overall licensing process. An online test for Learner's Licenses (LL) was also conducted.

A total of 86 applications were processed during the camp, resulting in the issuance of Learner's Licenses to 53 individuals.

Secretary Rajiv Ranjan stated that the government aims to ensure people can access government services close to their homes. With this objective in mind, such camps are being organized in remote panchayats.

Ranchi District Transport Officer Akhilesh Kumar mentioned that similar driving license camps would be organized in other rural and remote areas of the district in the coming days, ensuring that the maximum number of people can easily access Transport Department services.

Attendees at the camp were also educated about road safety, traffic rules, and the importance of holding a valid driving license.

It was a relief for the villagers that many licensing procedures were completed on the spot, saving both time and money.
