Preparations Intensify for Special Voter List Revision; BLOs and Supervisors Receive Special Training
Ranchi, June 22: The Ranchi district administration has stepped up preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026. As part of this initiative, a special training program was organized for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors across all assembly constituencies in the district. The objective of the training is to ensure the voter list revision campaign is conducted effectively and without errors.
During the training program, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) provided detailed information to BLOs and supervisors regarding the Special Intensive Revision process, door-to-door verification, the distribution and collection of enumeration forms, and Election Commission guidelines.
Officials stated that a door-to-door campaign would be conducted across the district from June 30 to July 29, 2026. During this period, BLOs will reach out to every voter to provide enumeration forms and collect the filled-out forms. The campaign aims to make the voter list more accurate, up-to-date, and transparent.
The training placed special emphasis on BLOs properly maintaining the received forms and submitting daily progress reports to the concerned office. An appeal was also made to raise voter awareness and ensure the success of the revision work through their cooperation.
Organized under the instructions of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, this training program has laid the foundation for the successful execution of the Special Intensive Revision campaign in the district.
The campaign, commencing on June 30, aims to reach lakhs of voters, thereby making the voter list more accurate for upcoming elections.
