Successful Jail Court Held, Three Inmates Released

Ranchi: A Jail Court was organized today at Birsa Munda Central Jail, Hotwar, Ranchi by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ranchi. Railway Magistrate Vijay Kumar Yadav, Chief LADC, Deputy LADC Rajesh Kumar Sinha, community PLVs and jail PLVs were present on the occasion.
More than 50 inmates were provided legal awareness by the Deputy LADC regarding the importance of the Legal Aid Clinic and the roles and responsibilities of LADCs, community PLVs and jail PLVs.
During the proceedings, the Railway Magistrate ordered the release of three inmates.
The Chief and Deputy LADC also listened to the concerns of the inmates and instructed the jail PLV to file bond applications for those inmates who have not yet been assigned legal counsel.
DLSA Ranchi stated that the purpose of the Jail Court is to ensure timely justice and to make legal assistance accessible to all inmates.
