Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari Visits Muharram *Akhadas*; Tells Youth—A Strong India Will Be Built Through Education and Discipline
Jamtara. On the occasion of Muharram, Dr. Irfan Ansari—Jharkhand’s Minister for Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs and Disaster Management—toured various areas of Jamtara district and participated in the *Akhada* (traditional martial arts) competitions organized there. Praising the youth for their enthusiasm, discipline, courage, and display of traditional martial arts, he urged them to excel in the field of education as well.
The Minister stated that the *Akhada* is not merely a platform for traditional arts but a symbol of discipline, courage, and social unity. He told the youth that if they applied the same dedication and hard work to their studies and skill development that they do to practicing *lathi-danda* (stick fighting) and other traditional arts, they could bring glory to their families, society, and the nation.
He remarked that in today's era, education and mental strength are just as essential as physical prowess. Discipline, positive thinking, and knowledge are what lead youth to success in life and enable them to contribute to the nation's development.
Dr. Irfan Ansari emphasized that the country's future lies in the hands of the youth. If young people channel their energy towards education, skill development, and nation-building, India will scale new heights of progress. He also appealed to everyone to maintain peace, harmony, and brotherhood on the occasion of Muharram.
