SIR-2026: Chief Electoral Officer Holds Meeting with Political Parties
Ranchi: Jharkhand’s Chief Electoral Officer, K. Ravi Kumar, held a meeting with representatives of all recognized political parties to brief them on the Special Summary Revision (SIR-2026) process. He informed them that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) would conduct door-to-door voter verification from June 30 to July 29. The draft electoral roll is scheduled for publication on August 5, while the final electoral roll will be released on October 7. He stated that the objective of the campaign is to include the names of all eligible Indian citizens in the electoral roll and remove ineligible names. An appeal was also made to the political parties for their active cooperation in this process.
