Two arrested with 7.40 grams of brown sugar in Lohardaga; police send them to jail
Lohardaga: Taking action against the drug menace in the district, the Lohardaga police raided a vacant house in Alinagar and arrested two individuals with 7.40 grams of brown sugar. This operation was conducted based on a tip-off received by the Superintendent of Police.
During the raid, conducted in the presence of Circle Officer Ramnarayan Khalkho, the police recovered 7.40 grams of brown sugar, two Android mobile phones, and ₹3,015 in cash.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Imroz Ansari (alias Haider), 27, and Javed Ansari (alias Billa), 25. A case has been registered against both under Lohardaga Police Station Case No. 89/2026, invoking Sections 17(b), 21(b), 22(b), and 29 of the NDPS Act, 1985. On Sunday, both accused were sent to jail in judicial custody.
According to the police, both accused have a criminal history, with several cases previously registered against them.
