MP Dr. Mahua Maji stated that she stands with those suffering from thalassemia/sickle cell/aplastic anemia. She will soon discuss their issues with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. She will raise their voice in the Parliament. She will take serious action as soon as possible.
Dr. Gaurav Kharia stated that this Jharkhand state-level camp on thalassemia/sickle cell/aplastic anemia is a highly commendable and historic effort by the organizers, which will result in 100% bone marrow transplants. The Jharkhand government should take this serious initiative and provide blood transfusions/bone marrow transplants so that these sufferers can live.
The mortality rate of children who are humanly guaranteed by blood transfusions/bone marrow transplants can be prevented.
In Jharkhand, a public awareness campaign should be launched to promote blood donation so that they can continue to receive blood and their growth is not hampered. The Jharkhand government should formulate a policy for them.
