July 29: Last Chance – Failure to Submit Enumeration Form Means Exclusion from August 5 Draft Voter List

July 29, 2026, has been set as the deadline for submitting enumeration forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign in Jharkhand. In an SIR bulletin released on Tuesday evening, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) clarified that voters who fail to submit their filled and signed enumeration forms by the stipulated time will not have their names included in the draft voter list scheduled for publication on August 5, 2026.
According to the state's current voter list, there are a total of 26,463,236 voters. Enumeration forms have been delivered to 99.99% (26,461,801) of these voters. So far, the digitization of 26,376,457 (99.67%) forms has been completed, while signed forms for 22,020,994 voters are ready for inclusion in the draft voter list.
According to the Election Department, digitization work has been fully completed (100%) in 31 assembly constituencies. In the remaining 50 assembly constituencies, the work has reached a completion rate of between 97% and 99%.
Departmental data indicates that 4,355,463 enumeration forms have not yet been returned. This figure includes 761,755 deceased voters, 1,459,029 voters who are absent or untraceable, 1,587,496 voters who have permanently relocated, 434,541 voters already registered elsewhere, and 112,642 voters who refused to sign the form. The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has appealed to all eligible voters to submit their enumeration forms by July 29 without fail, so that their names can be securely included in the draft electoral roll to be published on August 5.
