75+ Startup Founders Gather in Ranchi, 5 Startups Get Opportunity to Pitch Directly to Investors

Ranchi, September 16, 2026: In a significant initiative to strengthen Jharkhand’s startup and innovation ecosystem, the ‘Tally Startup Collective – Ranchi Chapter’ was organised at the Jharkhand Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (JIIDCO) on Wednesday. More than 75 startup founders from different parts of Jharkhand participated in the programme.


The event aimed to provide emerging entrepreneurs with an opportunity to connect directly with investors, mentors and industry experts, while gaining insights into funding, business expansion, effective pitching and long-term business growth.


Focus on Strengthening Jharkhand’s Startup Ecosystem

JIIDCO General Manager Sanjay Kumar Sahu and Startup Jharkhand Chief Enabler Shubham Raj highlighted the importance of institutional support, industry engagement and a strong startup network in creating a favourable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship in the state.


During the programme, startup founders interacted with experts on various aspects of building and scaling their businesses. Discussions focused on investment readiness, business expansion strategies, preparing effective investor pitches and developing long-term relationships with investors and industry stakeholders.


Industry and Investment Experts Share Their Experience

Gautam Chakraborty, AGM – Product Excellence, Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd., shared insights into technology and business solutions relevant to startups.


The investment and funding sessions featured Chahat Agrawal, Managing Director, A Square Capital; Kumar Dheeraj from VC Grid; and Pankaj Soni, Angel Investor and Mission Blue Foundation. They interacted with startup founders and shared their experience on investment, funding and business development.


Vijay Bawra, VP – Growth, SanchiConnect, also participated in the programme and engaged with the startup community on growth-related opportunities.


Five Selected Startups Pitch Their Business Models to Investors

One of the key highlights of the programme was the 1:1 Investor Pitch Session. Five selected startup founders from Jharkhand were given an opportunity to present their business models and growth plans directly before investors.


The founders explained their business propositions, future expansion plans and potential opportunities. They also interacted directly with investors and received feedback on their respective ventures.

The session provided the selected startups with an opportunity to understand investor expectations and explore potential avenues for funding and collaboration.


Networking Creates Scope for Future Collaboration

The programme also featured networking and interaction sessions involving startup founders, investors, mentors and other stakeholders associated with the startup ecosystem.


Participants discussed potential areas of collaboration, investment opportunities, technology support and business partnerships. The interactions were aimed at creating stronger connections between entrepreneurs and the wider startup and business community.


Government, Industry and Investors Come Together

The programme was organised with the participation of Tally Solutions, SanchiConnect, Startup Jharkhand and JIIDCO, bringing together representatives from the government, industry, investment community and startup ecosystem on a common platform.


JIIDCO is working towards developing an environment that supports not only industrial growth but also entrepreneurship and innovation in Jharkhand. Initiatives that connect startups with mentors, investors and industry experts can provide emerging entrepreneurs with greater access to knowledge, networks and potential business opportunities.
