Ranchi, September 16, 2026: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met Bernard Lynch, Australian Consul-General in Kolkata, at the Chief Minister’s Residential Office on Kanke Road, Ranchi, on Wednesday.
The meeting was a courtesy visit by Bernard Lynch. During the interaction, the Chief Minister and the Australian Consul-General held detailed discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between Jharkhand and Australia and promoting strategic partnerships in areas of mutual interest.
The discussions covered several key sectors, including education, minerals, skill development, investment, culture, sports and tourism. Both sides explored possibilities for greater cooperation and new areas of partnership.
The meeting also focused on strengthening opportunities for collaboration that could contribute to development and mutual interests in the state.
Jharkhand Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and Angelina Nair, Senior Research and Tour Officer at the Australian Consulate-General, Kolkata, were also present on the occasion.
