Ranchi. A meeting was held in the Chamber Bhawan on the preparations for the badminton tournament being organized at Khelgaon Stadium on June 22 under the joint aegis of Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Badminton Association of Ranchi District (BARD). Expressing happiness over the interest shown by various government and non-government institutions in the tournament, further preparations were reviewed.
Chamber President Paresh Gattani said that such a unique event is being organized for the first time in which government institutions and non-government organizations will participate. The purpose of organizing this tournament will be to strengthen the mutual coordination between government officials and business representatives. Sports Sub-Committee Chairman Arun Bhartiya informed that teams interested in participating in the tournament can register themselves till June 14. The registration fee of each team is five thousand rupees. T-shirts, refreshments, food will be made available to all the participants on the day of the tournament.
The winning team of the first place in the tournament will be given a cash prize of 21 thousand rupees, the team of second place will be given 11 thousand rupees and the winning team of third and fourth place will be given 5100 rupees each.
Co-secretary Vikas Vijayvargiya and Navjot Alag jointly said that this effort of Jharkhand Chamber will promote sportsmanship among the people and will increase the awareness of people towards sports in the state. This tournament will become a source of inspiration for the youth of the state. He informed that various departments of the government as well as schools and colleges have been invited to participate in the tournament.
Chamber President Paresh Gattani, Co-secretary Vikas Vijayvargiya, Navjot Alag, Sub-committee Chairman Arun Bhartiya and other members were present in the meeting. Spokesperson Sunil Sarawagi gave the above information.
