Ranchi: The Harley-Davidson X440 is establishing a strong identity in the Indian market as a premium roadster/cruiser motorcycle. Now, the new X440 T variant is also generating buzz; developed with inspiration from the iconic XR1200, this model boasts sportier handling, performance-oriented ergonomics, a sporty rear section, and racing-inspired graphics that run from front to back. According to the company, it is a street-legal performance roadster that carries forward Harley-Davidson's legacy while integrating modern technology.
The bike is powered by a 440cc single-cylinder, air-oil cooled engine that delivers a maximum power of 27 bhp (at 6000 RPM) and peak torque of 38 Nm (at 4000 RPM). The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features modern amenities such as an assist and slipper clutch and switchable traction control, ensuring excellent performance across various road conditions.
To enhance the riding experience, the bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS, 'Road' and 'Rain' riding modes, KYB 43mm USD front forks, and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers, providing superior control and comfort even on rough roads.
In terms of features, the bike sports a 3.5-inch TFT digital display offering a speedometer, gear position indicator, trip meter, fuel range, ABS and traction control alerts, call and message notifications, music controls, and Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, it includes support for USB Quick Charge 3.0. In terms of design, it features all-LED lighting, multi-projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, and LED indicators. The bike comes with a 13.5-litre fuel tank, weighs 182 kg, and offers a seat height of 805 mm along with a ground clearance of 170 mm, making it a practical and comfortable choice for Indian roads.
For braking, it is equipped with a 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear. Additionally, the 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels enhance the bike's stability and balance.
