Successful completion of five-day short translation training program at CCL headquarters
Ranchi: The five-day short translation training program concluded successfully on Friday at Prakash Auditorium, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) headquarters. This training program was organized by the Official Language Department of CCL in collaboration with Central Translation Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India from 02 June to 06 June, 2025.
The main objective of this training program was to strengthen the quality, accuracy and ease of Hindi translation during administrative work in CCL. Under the program, practical and procedural training was provided to the participants in two sessions daily, so that they can use Hindi with more efficiency and linguistic sensitivity in their field of work.
The chief guest of the closing ceremony was CCL General Manager (Official Language) Sanjay Kumar Thakur. He honored Assistant Director of Central Translation Bureau, Lekha Sarin by presenting a flower bouquet and a memento dedicated to the cultural heritage of Jharkhand. In his address, Shri Thakur congratulated all the participants for their active participation and said, “The success of this program will be fully meaningful only when the participants make proper use of the knowledge acquired in the training at their workplaces.” He emphasized on continuous practice, knowledge of technical equipment and practical application in the field of translation.
The training sessions were conducted by Assistant Director Lekha Sarin and Dr. Mohan Chandra Bahuguna of Central Translation Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. They guided the participants through practical, analytical and participatory sessions on topics like ‘Official Language Policy of the Union’, ‘Techniques of Office Translation’ and ‘Use of Technical Equipment’.
On the closing occasion, training certificates were also provided to all the participants by the Central Translation Bureau.
