NUSRL students learnt the qualities of client counselling: DLSA

 

Ranchi: On the directions of JHALSA, the team of DLSA Ranchi on Saturday explained the qualities of client counselling to the final year students at the National School of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) Kanke. A legal awareness programme was also organised. On this occasion, Deputy LADC Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Assistant Saurabh Pandey and Shivani Singh, Advocate Shobha Lakra, Mrindlini Adela of the LADC team told the legal students the qualities of client counselling. A total of 55 students participated in the programme. After this, the students filled the problems of the villagers present there in the Google form and those villagers were made aware about the facilities of the government schemes.

    Rajesh Kumar Sinha also emphasised on putting up banners and posters for the awareness of the people living in rural areas and said that people will become aware through banners and posters. It will help in providing legal services to the needy. People will be informed through posters and banners, only then they will be able to take advantage of the legal aid clinic opened here by the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi. Along with this, a legal awareness program was organized, in which more than 100 villagers from villages around Kanke block participated, who were given information about free legal aid, legal aid clinic and welfare schemes run by the government.

           Shivani Singh said that PLVs also help in getting old age pension to old women. Getting pension for widows is also our main work. Villagers living in kutcha houses were told that if you have not been able to take advantage of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or any other government scheme, then you can contact the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi soon.
