Elevated Corridor on NH-75 Incomplete Without a Flyover
Waterlogging Disrupts Traffic on Pandara–OTC Ground Stretch, Demand for Flyover Intensifies
Ranchi: The journey from Piska Mod to Kutchery has now become fast and smooth. While cars cover this distance in just four minutes, two-wheelers take barely ten minutes. The long traffic jams that once haunted commuters on this route are now a thing of the past.
However, what remains a major concern is that vehicles coming to Ranchi from the Daltonganj and Lohardaga routes — including ambulances — get stuck at Pandara. Similarly, vehicles leaving Ranchi towards these routes face severe congestion between the OTC Ground crossing and Panchsheel Nagar Chowk.
“During the rainy season, the condition of Panchsheel Nagar Chowk becomes frightening.” Heavy waterlogging and fast-flowing rainwater raise the water level up to four feet on the road. Several accidents have already occurred, causing fear and frustration among commuters.
Local residents have long been demanding the construction of a flyover from Shri Mahaveer Temple in Pandara up to OTC Ground Chowk. According to them, without this flyover, the elevated corridor of NH-75 remains incomplete.
People now hope that a decision for this crucial section of NH-75 will be taken soon so that the Pandara–OTC Ground route becomes safe and free from traffic chaos.
