Demand for 365 days duty raised in Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association's general meeting

 

Ranchi: A general meeting of Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association was held at Jokhoram Saravgi Agarwal Smriti Nidhi, JJ Road Upper Bazaar, near Shaheed Chowk Ranchi. Thousands of Home Guard Jawans from all districts of Jharkhand state participated in this general meeting. State General Secretary Rajiv Kumar Tiwari said that in Jharkhand, the duty is very less in proportion to the number of Home Guard Jawans. Mr. Tiwari said that Jharkhand government should issue an order to give 365 days duty to Home Guard Jawans like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bengal states.

      During the meeting, female Home Guard Jawan Chinta Devi of Bokaro district said that women get 50% reservation in recruitment but at the time of giving duty, women are not given any kind of reservation due to which a large number of women are not able to get duty.

      Under the consensus of Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association's State President Ravi Mukherjee and State General Secretary Rajiv Kumar Tiwari, Surya Sahu was selected as State Executive President, Charan Chatar, Sita Pinguwa as State Secretary, Rina Kumari, Suresh Kumar as State Deputy Secretary, Anand Mohan, Rakesh Kumar as State Organization Secretary.

     It was unanimously decided in this general meeting that if Jharkhand Government does not provide 365 days duty to Jharkhand Home Guard Jawans, then there will be a struggle from the road to the court.
