Jharkhand State Amin Association Submits Charter of Demands to Government, Calls for Resolution of Issues
Ranchi, July 12, 2026: The Jharkhand State Amin Association submitted a detailed charter of demands to the state government following a meeting held at Morhabadi Ground, Ranchi, presided over by State President Kundan Kumar Thakur. The Association stated that there is widespread discontent among Amins across the state due to the long-standing failure to resolve the issues faced by outsourced Amins.
The charter of demands, submitted to the Secretary of the Department of Registration and Land Reforms, calls for the abolition of the outsourcing system in favor of direct government recruitment of Amins, their reclassification from the 'non-technical' to the 'technical (skilled)' category, an amendment to the Jharkhand Amin Recruitment Rules to provide 50 percent reservation for outsourced Amins, the fixation of appropriate remuneration commensurate with the work, and the provision of facilities such as health and safety insurance.
The Association noted that it had previously corresponded multiple times with the Chief Minister's Secretariat and the Department of Registration and Land Reforms regarding these demands, yet no concrete action has been taken so far.
State President Kundan Kumar Thakur stated that Amins are a vital part of the state's land administration system. Urging the government to take a swift and positive decision, he warned that if prompt action is not taken on these demands, the Jharkhand State Amin Association would be compelled to launch a state-wide agitation in a democratic and lawful manner.
Several Amins were present on the occasion, including Ramlal Mahto, Shubham Tiwari, Lalit Kumar Mahto, Tapeshwar Sahu, Haseeb Ansari, Teklal Mahto, Jaan Ekka, Ashish Kumar, Sakaldev Kumar Verma, Ravindra Kumar, Sandeep Kumar Sinha, Raju Kumar Dangi, Abdul Sattar Ansari, Faizullah Ansari, Bashir Ansari, and Dharamnath Thakur.
