Action taken to pay pending bills of CSSD and Laundry: RIMS
Ranchi: A meeting was organized under the chairmanship of RIMS Director Prof (Dr) Rajkumar to take action on the payment of pending bills of CSSD and Laundry. Additional Director Seema Singh, Medical Superintendent Prof (Dr) Hirendra Birua, Deputy Superintendent-II Dr Rajiv Ranjan, Deputy Director (Finance) Yogendra Prasad and Internal Financial Advisor Alok Kumar Tapasvi were present in the meeting. The Director tried to know the reasons for the delay in payment of CSSD and Laundry.
It is known that the services of CSSD and Laundry in RIMS are taken by the external source agency Medilab. It is worth noting that according to the terms of the tender and the agreement made thereafter, even if the institution is delaying the payment due to any reason, the agency has to continue paying its workers, which is clearly not being followed by the agency. Also, some of the previous bills were submitted late by the agency, in relation to which an explanation was also sought from the agency. After that the bill is being submitted on time.
It is worth mentioning that the Medical Deputy Superintendent-II himself talked to the employees of the agency and asked them to inform him about not complaining to the agency about the delay in payment, on which the employees informed that the contractor does not come here and it is not possible for the supervisor to resolve it. After the mediation of the Medical Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent-II and receiving written assurance from the agency to pay all the pending salary within a week, the employees returned to work and all the services have been resumed.
It is known that Director Dr. Raj Kumar has instructed to submit a report within 5 days by identifying the places where the file was delayed at the level of RIMS. He has also ordered to make the pending payment of the agency within three days. Dr. Raj Kumar has also said that if the contractor is at fault, then an FIR will also be lodged against him as per rules for disrupting the essential services and not complying with the tender conditions.
