Ranchi: The Divisional Commissioner held a meeting regarding the preparations for the preliminary examination of UPSC to be held on 25th May. A meeting was held in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium with the concerned officials regarding the preparations for the Civil Services (Pre) Examination, 2025 organized by the Union Public Service Commission under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Anjani Kumar Mishra. The meeting discussed in detail about the examination to be held on the scheduled date. During the briefing, the Commissioner's Secretary Alok Kumar informed all the deputation officers about their assigned tasks.
The examination is conducted in two shifts. First shift from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, second shift from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. No other programs of any kind will be conducted at the said 48 sub-centers on 24th and 25th May 2025.
Commissioner Anjani Kumar Mishra said that the capital Ranchi has performed well in successfully conducting the UPSC examination. Like every time, this time also all the officers will perform their responsibilities faithfully. He said that all the deputed officers will ensure to deliver the question paper packets on time and after completion, submit the answer sheet and other necessary documents to the GPO.
He instructed the police department to depute all the officers and the deputed police team should ensure reporting to the Concern Officer by 7:00 am on the date of examination. A police force of four and a separate police team consisting of three men and two women will be compulsorily deputed at all the examination sub-centers for maintaining law and order and with the static magistrate, who will ensure frisking of the candidates with the metal detector when they enter the center. The concerned assistant coordinating supervisor and the concerned police officer must establish contact with each other before the date of examination so that no problem of any kind arises on the day of examination. All the deputed local inspecting officers will inspect the examination centres one day before the examination and ensure all necessary arrangements. After the completion of the examination, the concerned local inspecting officer will ensure to submit the attendance statement related to the examination, jammer installation related form and inspection report to the working control room. The admit card of the candidates will be matched with the identity card. Keep in mind that the candidate should not have any kind of electronic device. All will strictly follow the guidelines of UPSC. It was said that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated. All the officers will discharge their duties faithfully.
In view of the heat, there should be proper arrangements of electricity, water, toilets, ORS solution and lemonade at the examination centre.
During the briefing, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said that during the examination, all the work will be done on time by strictly following the UPSC guidelines. Candidates should be properly identified by the admit card and allowed to enter the examination hall and be cautious of electronic gadgets. Necessary facilities should be available at all centres. Sub-divisional Officer Sadar Ranchi was instructed to implement Section 163 of BNSS around all the concerned examination centers so that public peace is maintained.
