She stated that relations between India and Moldova are built on a strong foundation of trust, democratic values, and shared prosperity, and that their future economic partnership would script a new chapter in the development of both countries.
The President noted that India and Moldova have maintained consistently cordial and friendly relations since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992. India is rapidly advancing towards its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047 and, with this vision, is seeking global partners who believe in trust, innovation, and shared growth.
She highlighted that India is among the world's fastest-growing major economies. The country's economic progress has been driven by entrepreneurship, digital transformation, manufacturing capabilities, and a young, skilled workforce. Meanwhile, Moldova’s reform-oriented approach, strategic geographical location, and growing integration with European markets offer new opportunities for Indian investors.
President Murmu emphasized the potential for extensive cooperation in sectors such as digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, fintech, digital public infrastructure, infrastructure development, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and healthcare services. She mentioned that Indian companies are keen to invest in projects involving solar energy, battery storage, smart grids, green hydrogen, and other clean energy initiatives in Moldova.
Inviting the Moldovan business community to invest and trade in India, she affirmed that India is committed to providing a transparent, reliable, and investor-friendly business environment. She also urged the Indian industry to capitalize on the opportunities available in Moldova.
The President expressed confidence that the discussions and dialogue held at the business forum would lay a strong foundation for new business partnerships, innovation, and long-term economic cooperation between the two nations. At the forum, leading industrialists and business representatives from India and Moldova deliberated on prospects for collaboration across various sectors, including agriculture, information technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, education, logistics, digital technology, and renewable energy.
