Missing Children Recovered Due to Efforts of Bajrang Dal Workers, Police Patting Its Own Back: Babulal Marandi

Ranchi:
Former Jharkhand BJP State President and Leader of the Opposition said that the missing children have finally been recovered after 12 days. He stated that there is no doubt the police worked hard, putting in day-and-night efforts, which helped spread the information from village to village and encouraged people to join the search. However, he asserted that it was ultimately the youths of the Bajrang Dal who safely traced and recovered the children.

Marandi said that Bajrang Dal workers Sachin Prajapati, Dablu Sahu, Sunny, along with their associates from Chitarpur in Ramgarh district, showed remarkable courage in recovering the children. “The photographs are before everyone; I had shared them earlier as well. Anyone can clearly understand the difference between reality and statements by looking at these images, and see how some police officials are trying to present the incident in a manner aimed solely at claiming all the credit,” he alleged.

Commenting on the police press conference held today, Marandi said several questions arise. While the police congratulated themselves, they did not even spare a few words to acknowledge or encourage the Bajrang Dal youths who actually recovered the children. He alleged that a race to claim credit has now begun and that awards will be selectively distributed to preferred individuals.

Marandi said he expects the police to correct their mistake and invite these youths to honor them, so that people continue to come forward to help in such situations in the future. He termed the practice of ignoring or appropriating others’ hard work and identity as a “broker culture” and said it must be avoided.

He also questioned the Chief Minister’s praise of the administration, suggesting that officials may not have provided him with the correct information. The Chief Minister, he said, should ascertain the ground reality, amend his social media posts accordingly, and ensure that the real heroes are honored.

Marandi warned that if this does not happen, it will be assumed that the system was, is, and will remain insensitive. He called it condemnable and shameful that senior police officials failed to take these aspects into consideration.
