Jharkhand/Ranchi : In view of the Durga Puja festival, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation is ensuring special preparations to provide convenience to puja committees and devotees, along with a special cleanliness drive on a war footing.
In this regard, today, September 17, 2025, Administrator Sushant Gaurav, along with corporation officials, inspected various puja pandals and provided necessary guidelines to the concerned officials and puja committees. He primarily inspected Bakri Bazaar, RR Supporting Club, Ratu Road, Ramallah Puja Committee, and the District School Pandal and issued several important guidelines to the puja committees to celebrate the upcoming Durga Puja in a clean, peaceful, and orderly manner.
Ensure adherence to safety standards
• Instructions have been given to strictly adhere to safety standards in all puja pandals. Ensure fire safety and proper entry and exit arrangements in the pandals.
Cooperation and Coordination
• Puja committees were instructed to maintain constant coordination with the corporation and remain in contact for immediate assistance in case of any emergency. All volunteers were instructed to carry ID cards and assist devotees.
Parking Arrangements Around Pandals
• Instructions were given to concerned officials to assess crowds and designate well-organized parking spaces.
Convenience and Safety of Devotees Given Top Priority
• All puja committees were urged to prioritize the convenience and safety of devotees so that this Durga Puja festival is celebrated peacefully, safely, and joyously. Corporation officials were also instructed to install water tankers and mobile toilets at various locations.
Acceleration of the "Swachhata To Hokar Rahegi 4.0" Campaign:
• Regular cleaning of all pandals and all approach roads is accelerated, with special cleaning of drains and instructions to cover open drains to avoid any untoward incident.
Special Lighting Arrangements
•A total of 28 teams from the Corporation's electrical department have been formed. The teams are constantly patrolling and repairing faulty streetlights. Instructions have been given to install special lighting at black spots.
On the occasion, the Administrator stated, "All necessary arrangements will be made for the Durga Puja celebrations, and the Corporation will provide all possible assistance to the Puja committees. Corporation officials are regularly visiting the pandals to assess all arrangements. Additionally, Corporation officials and the control room (18005701235) will be operational 24/7."
The visiting team included Additional Administrator Sanjay Kumar, Deputy Administrator Ravindra Kumar, Deputy Administrator Gautam Prasad Sahu, all Assistant Administrators, Assistant Public Health Officer, and other Corporation personnel.
