Minister Deepika Pandey Singh to Shoulder Responsibilities for Congress in Assam Assembly Elections
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has entrusted Deepika Pandey Singh—the Jharkhand government's Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj—with a pivotal responsibility for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections. The party leadership has assigned her the task of spearheading an extensive election campaign in Assam, alongside senior leaders from Jharkhand, to garner support for Congress candidates. Minister Deepika Pandey Singh stated that she has previously worked with the party organization in Assam and affirmed that, this time as well, she would discharge the duties assigned to her by the party with utmost dedication and responsibility. She asserted that the Congress party's objective is to oust the BJP government from power in Assam and to strengthen politics centered on public welfare. Furthermore, she described Chief Minister Hemant Soren as a strong and inspiring leader of the tribal community.
