This situation has arisen due to repeated strikes at HEC. Liladhar was speaking at the union's executive meeting held in Dhurwa on Friday. He said that with bank accounts frozen and no support from the central and state governments, HEC can no longer afford strikes. Only continued production using available resources can save HEC and its workers. However, efforts are underway to ensure employees are paid their salaries during Navratri.
Singh stated that the repeated strikes at HEC have crippled HEC. Three months ago, when industrial production was slowly returning to normal, the situation was further exacerbated by a month-and-a-half-long strike by contract workers. This so-called victory benefited neither the workers nor the company. Instead, it only satisfied the egos of a few leaders. They appealed to contract workers to fill out and submit the forms provided by management so that their pay scales could be finalized. Workers who submitted forms but were not paid despite being present should submit written notice to their plant personnel chief and headquarters personnel chief, as well as inform the union.
The meeting was chaired by Vice President Girish Kumar Singh Chauhan
Present on the occasion were Dilip Kumar Singh, Bhola Saw, Khurshid Alam, Rammohan Baitha, CS Das, Dhananjay Srivastava, Rajendra Kant Mahato, and several other officials.
