The message of yoga will resonate from prisons to old-age homes; 25,000 people will participate in the DLSA program
Ranchi: A special yoga practice event will be organized under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ranchi, to mark International Yoga Day. Participants will include inmates from all prisons across Jharkhand, as well as residents of observation homes and old age homes.
Rehearsals for the Common Yoga Protocol will be held on June 18 and 19 in preparation for the event. The mass yoga session itself will take place on June 21, International Yoga Day, with approximately 25,000 people from across the state practicing yoga together virtually.
Judicial officers, court staff, and individuals from various institutions will participate in this event, which is being organized at the initiative of Sujit Narayan Prasad, Justice-cum-Executive Chairman of the Jharkhand High Court and Chairman of JHALSA. The yoga session will be conducted by instructor Panchanan Singh.
Rakesh Raushan, Secretary of DLSA Ranchi, stated that the objective of the program is to raise awareness about yoga and inspire people from all sections of society to adopt a healthy lifestyle. He noted that a key feature of this campaign is taking the message of yoga to prisons, observation homes, and old-age homes.
