SAIL Ranchi emerged victorious in the final of EDS Super Division Cricket Tournament

 

Ranchi: The final match of EDS Super Division Cricket Tournament was played at Mecon Stadium under District Cricket Association (RDCA). In a thrilling match, SAIL Unit Ranchi defeated Mecon Sports Club by 51 runs. SAIL Unit won the toss and batted first and scored 206 runs in 43.4 overs. Pankaj Kumar (59 runs, 4 sixes), Vikas Kumar (39 runs) and Uttam Kumar (31 runs) made important contributions. In reply, Mecon Sports Club team collapsed for 155 runs in 39.2 overs. Man of the Match Pankaj Yadav took 4 wickets while giving a match-winning performance. In bowling, Prashant Suman and Mohit Kumar took 2-2 wickets each. Shrestha Sagar got the award for the best batsman.

     On the occasion, Executive Director Sandeep Kumar, CGM HR, SAIL Management and SAIL Units Sports Club officials congratulated the players of the SAIL team on behalf of SAIL R&D.
