Message of sensitivity and conservation towards nature: RBI
Ranchi. The Regional Office of RBI did many well-thought-out works on the occasion of World Environment Day 2025. On this occasion, Prem Ranjan Prasad Singh, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi organized a tree plantation campaign on the plot located at Pundag, Ranchi, in which one tree was planted in the name of Mother and one tree in the name of Mother India with the mantra 'Janani Janmabhoomi Swargadapi Gariyars'. Along with this, various competitions were organized for the staff members for global plastic elimination, environmental protection and awareness, which included crossword puzzles, quizzes etc.
The Regional Director expressed his concern over natural events breaking old records and creating new records every year and said that such new records of extreme temperature and rainfall are warning signs. He drew attention to the decreasing rate of forest area in Jharkhand, which has come down from 55 percent during the independence of the country to only 22 percent in today's situation. He suggested that being sensitive towards nature and ecology will help better in environmental conservation.
On this occasion, the office organized a lecture session on the topic of 'Environment and Ecology' in which as a guest speaker, Professor Dr. Nitish Priyadarshi of Ranchi University underlined the importance of learning the early warnings of nature. He emphasized on giving due respect to every element of nature and personal effort in the process of conservation.
