Lohardaga: Under the Municipal (General) Election 2026, the nomination process for one post of Municipal Council Chairperson and 23 Ward Councillor posts in Lohardaga Municipal Council began on Thursday. The process will continue until 3:00 PM on February 4, 2026. Candidates can purchase, fill, and submit their nomination papers daily between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Those intending to contest for the Chairperson post can obtain nomination forms from the office of the Additional Collector-cum-Returning Officer, Lohardaga. For Ward Councillor posts, candidates of Wards 1–6 can collect forms from the Sub-Divisional Land Reforms Officer’s office; Wards 7–12 from the District Supply Officer’s office (Collectorate Building, Ground Floor); Wards 13–18 from the Executive Magistrate’s office located at the District Nazarat; and Wards 19–23 from the PMU Office on the first floor of the Collectorate Building (next to the Additional Collector’s office).
The administration has appealed to all candidates to complete the nomination process within the stipulated time limit.
