Jharkhand/Ranchi: On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, approximately 25 food establishments were inspected on Tuesday in various areas of the city, including Lalpur, Karbala Road, Kanke Road, and Ratu Road, as part of the special food safety campaign being conducted for Durga Puja.
During the inspections, the quality of milk and milk products, cheese, khoya, rasgullas, pedas, and sweets was checked. Suspicious cheese and sweets were destroyed on the spot, and where food businesses were found to be without hygiene standards and an FSSAI license, necessary instructions were issued.
The Food Safety Officer on the spot stated that all food businesses should obtain a license from the FSSAI and adhere to hygiene standards. Strict action will be taken if any adulteration is found. He stated that this special campaign will continue until the end of the festival.
