Make the pledge of "Vocal for Local" your way of life this Dipawali: Mohit

Jharkhand/West Singhbhum: As Dipawali approaches, the city's markets have become lively. From sweet shops to decorative shops, crowds of customers are being seen. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Mohit Sultania, co-secretary of the West Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries, appealed to the public to prioritize local products this Dipawali and make the pledge of "Vocal for Local" a part of their lifestyle.

Sultania said that this year, people should adopt earthen lamps instead of Chinese lanterns. Earthen lamps are not only environmentally friendly but also support the livelihoods of local potters. He said, “When you buy an earthen lamp, you buy not just a lamp but the hope of a family.”

Sultania issued a press release on Tuesday, stating that during Dipawali and Dhanteras, the trend of shopping from large online companies increases rapidly, which affects the business of local shopkeepers. He said, “Your neighborhood shopkeeper can also be your helper tomorrow. This Dipawali, make not only the market but also your relationships vibrant by shopping from the shops in your neighborhood.”

Sultania further said that this festival of Dipawali can prove to be a small but powerful step towards a self-reliant India. Let us light a lamp this time that brings light into someone's life.
