Potholes, dirt and darkness have become the identity of the Pandra Agricultural Produce Market Committee

Jharkhand/Ranchi: The market committee was established to protect the interests of agricultural traders and to establish mutual harmony among them. Once a market is established, people and vehicles will constantly flow in and out. When people come, they will seek basic amenities. Even in the absence of these basic amenities, work would be unfair to humanity.

Indeed, the Pandra Agricultural Produce Market Committee sees business worth crores of rupees daily. Trucks and small vehicles can be seen loading and unloading throughout the day. The situation is such that even vehicles from other states arrive late at night, and the lack of streetlights at the Pandra Agricultural Market Committee causes numerous inconveniences. Another inconvenience is that the main gate of the market committee is closed at night. Small cargo-laden vehicles get stuck in potholes on the roads, making it difficult to extricate them, and even large trucks are on the verge of overturning. Dirt is spread everywhere, forcing farmers to sell their produce with a handkerchief tied around their nose. If we have to say about Pandra Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti in one line, then it can be said that Pandra Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti has become synonymous with pits, dirt and darkness, where there is a severe lack of basic facilities and many hand pumps installed for drinking water are out of order, on the other hand, since 2015, then state government had removed the major source of revenue generation in the market committee, after which not only development but even maintenance of the market is not being done in Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti Pandra.
