Leave of police personnel will be canceled in Jharkhand during Durga Puja

Jharkhand/Ranchi: Like other provinces of the country, preparations for Durga Puja have started in Jharkhand too. The police administration is already on alert. The state's Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta has issued several important instructions to maintain security and law and order in the state regarding Durga Puja.

According to the spokesperson of Jharkhand Police, the leave of all policemen has been canceled from September 20 to October 4 to deal with any emergency situation during the upcoming festivals. This decision to cancel the leave has been taken because a large number of police forces will be deployed in all the districts of the state during Durga Puja. To maintain law and order smoothly, senior officers like Zonal IG, DIG of Range, SP of the district and Commandant have been asked to ensure that adequate force is available in case of any emergency.

According to the instructions issued by the Police Headquarters, leave will be approved only in special circumstances with the permission of the concerned officer. Along with this, the Police Headquarters has instructed all police officers and personnel (from inspector to constable) posted in all offices to remain alert.
