Legal information given to children: DLSA

 

Ranchi: According to the Jhalsa calendar, on May 16, a legal literacy class was organized in Maharani Premmanjari Project Girls High School by the PLVs working in DLSA. The PLVs working in DLSA gave information to the children about legal information, fundamental rights and duties. The children were also told about child marriage, child labor and POCSO Act.

           PLVs Pushpalata Devi, Sunita Devi, Poonam Devi were present in the legal literacy class. PLV Pushpalata Devi gave information to the children about the laws related to child marriage and child labor. She said that child labor and child marriage are crimes. Poonam Devi gave information about mediation, Lok Adalat and National Lok Adalat. Sunita Devi also gave information about the facilities available from the District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, old age pension, widow pension and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
