Ranchi: The ambitious Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana of the state government is proving to be a boon for women. Under the scheme, the Ranchi district administration has taken the initiative to make women self-reliant with the honorarium of Rs 2500 received by the beneficiary women every month.
The work of making women economically stronger through egg production and goat rearing is being done as per the guidelines of Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Ranchi Manjunath Bhajantri.
Under the self-reliance from Mainiya Samman, 159300 chicks have been distributed among 3051 beneficiary women in Ranchi district till April 2025, while 730 goats have been distributed among 350 beneficiaries. Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Ranchi Manjunath Bhajantri reviewed the distribution of chicks and goats to the beneficiaries for egg production and goat rearing block wise and directed the concerned officer to ensure the benefit of the scheme to maximum beneficiaries by continuous monitoring.
The Chief Minister was conducting an online review meeting related to Self-reliance, 100 Entrepreneurship and Abua Group from Mainiya Samman Yojana. District Public Relations Officer, Assistant Director Social Security, District Animal Husbandry Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, GM DIC, DPM JSLPS, all Block Program Managers, Young Professional Niti Aayog and other related officers were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Manjunath Bhajantri reviewed the Self-reliance and Abua Groups from Mainiya Samman block wise and gave necessary guidelines. He directed to focus on egg production and goat rearing under Mainiya Samman Se Swalamban Yojana. While reviewing the distribution of chicks and goats to the beneficiaries for poultry and goat rearing block-wise, the Deputy Commissioner directed to ensure that maximum beneficiaries get the benefits of the scheme by continuously monitoring.
While reviewing the Abua Groups formed for various blocks, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Shri Manjunath Bhajantri directed to add as many people as possible to the group. He asked to add as many youth as possible including local public representatives, Sahia-Sahayika, Public Distribution System shopkeepers, local journalists, administrative officers/workers to the group so that everyone remains constantly aware of the activities of the district. The Deputy Commissioner also directed to add local artists to the Abua Group. While reviewing the complaints received in the Abua Group, the Deputy Commissioner directed for their immediate disposal.
