District-Level Mukhiya Conference Focuses on Strengthening Education, Outstanding Mukhiya Felicitated
Ranchi: A district-level Mukhiya Conference was organized on Saturday at Amar Shaheed Thakur Vishwanath Shahdeo District Chief Minister’s Excellent School, Ranchi. The objective of the program was to encourage and strengthen the role of Mukhiya in improving education at the grassroots level.
The conference was held as per the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, with the Deputy Development Commissioner attending as the chief guest. On this occasion, Mukhiya from various blocks who demonstrated outstanding performance in the field of education were honored with shawls, mementos, and certificates of appreciation.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Development Commissioner stated that strengthening education is not the responsibility of the administration alone, but also requires active participation from elected Panchayat representatives. He urged Mukhiya to regularly visit schools, identify shortcomings and resource gaps, and submit reports at the block and district levels so that timely corrective action can be taken.
District Education Superintendent Badal Raj appealed to the Mukhiya to actively contribute to school development, participate in school programs, and support smooth functioning of educational institutions. District Panchayati Raj Officer Rajesh Kumar Sahu emphasized that quality education is the foundation of social development. He also informed that knowledge centers equipped with computers, televisions, and library books are being established in Panchayats, and encouraged Mukhiya to motivate students to make maximum use of these facilities.
As a special guest, the Vice Chairman of the District Council stated that social development is possible only when schools are adequately equipped with resources. He stressed the need for Panchayat-level initiatives to improve schools that are in poor condition or lacking basic facilities, and appreciated the innovative efforts being undertaken in the education sector in the district.
During the conference, information regarding available school resources was shared with Mukhiya through a PowerPoint presentation. The event was attended by Block Education Extension Officers, Block Program Officers, Additional and Assistant Program Officers, along with Mukhiya from all Panchayats of the district.
The conference served as an important platform to motivate Panchayat representatives to play a proactive role in achieving quality and inclusive education across Ranchi district.
