Ranchi: Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) is taking concrete steps towards developing the ITI Bus Stand, located in Ward No. 33 under the RMC area, into a well-organized and modern transportation hub. In this sequence, Sushant Gaurav, Administrator of Ranchi Municipal Corporation, conducted a surprise inspection of the bus stand premises with the RMC team.
⚠️ Strict Action Taken on Encroachment
The renovation and development work for this bus stand, which spans approximately 4 acres and 22 decimal of land, is proposed under the initiative of the State Government. During the inspection, the Administrator closely monitored the encroachment situation, toilets, shelters, and other basic amenities like cleanliness.
Upon finding the encroachment situation serious, the Administrator gave strict instructions to clear the area of encroachment within an hour. Following the instructions, the Municipal Corporation team conducted a large-scale anti-encroachment drive. During this drive, temporary structures, pushcarts, kiosks, makeshift shops, and other obstructive materials were removed and confiscated.
The Administrator clarified that cleanliness and order are the topmost priorities for transit passengers. The entire area was cleared 100% so that traffic and pedestrian movement could operate without obstruction.
