Promoting Women's Self-Reliance, Key Decisions Taken at JSLPS Meeting
Ranchi: The 7th Governing Body Meeting of the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) was held in Ranchi under the chairmanship of Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh. The meeting emphasized increasing the income of women self-help groups by connecting them to government supplies. It was decided to produce sanitary napkins, school supplies, mid-day meal food, milk as well as fruits and vegetables through the groups.
A plan was made to expand the micro-lift irrigation project from 10 to 50 blocks, which will increase horticulture and income. It was agreed to extend the benefits of the schemes to more women through coordination with various departments. The Minister directed to ensure transparency and timely implementation.
