RANCHI: Poverty and financial hardship will no longer stand in the way of a healthy future for underprivileged children in Jharkhand. On the special initiative and sensitive efforts of Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, a second batch of 25 poor children suffering from congenital heart disease and hole-in-the-heart condition was dispatched to Amrita Hospital in Kochi, Kerala, for advanced treatment and complex surgeries.
The Jharkhand government will bear the entire cost of treatment, providing up to ₹10 lakh per child completely free of charge. Families will not have to pay a single rupee out of pocket.

Flagging off the batch, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari said, 'Treating congenital heart disease is extremely expensive, making it nearly impossible for poor families to afford. My primary goal is to save lives and give these children a new lease on life. Seeing the smile on a poor parent’s face when their child recovers is my greatest achievement.'
He added that the children sent in the first batch have successfully recovered after their operations and returned home safely.
