East Tech 2025: Eastern Command to Showcase Cutting-Edge Indigenous Defense Technology in Ranchi

Jharkhand/Ranchi : The Indian Army's Eastern Command, in collaboration with the Society of Indian Defense Manufacturers (SIDM), is hosting the fourth edition of its flagship defense technology exhibition, East Tech, from September 19 to 21 at the Khelgaon Stadium in Ranchi.

Aiming to empower the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and defense self-reliance, East Tech will serve as a bridge between the operational requirements of the Armed Forces and innovative solutions provided by India's emerging defense industry.

The three-day event will feature a wide-ranging platform, including DPSUS and DRDO, private defence manufacturers, MSMEs, start-ups, and academia, who will showcase their innovative technologies and products, specifically tailored to the strategic needs of the Eastern Region. Key areas covered at the exhibition include tactical communication systems, battlefield mobility solutions, protection and survivability equipment, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled applications, drone and counter-drone technologies, robotics and autonomous systems, and advanced firepower platforms.

The event is expected to witness several notable achievements, including the largest exhibition area with over 175 defence manufacturers and over 200 exhibitors, over 300 delegates, over 250 senior military officials, first-time public-private sector participation, and displays of in-service equipment.

It was stated that East Tech 2025 will be a landmark event, promoting direct dialogue between technology developers and end-users. This event will pave the way for collaboration in future research and development, procurement, and field trials. India's pursuit of technological self-reliance in the defense sector will be further strengthened.

Several dignitaries from the central and state governments will be present on the occasion, including Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Governor Santosh Gangwar, Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, several senior officers of the armed forces, General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, CDS Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, GOC-in-C Eastern Command Air Marshal Surat Singh, AVSM, VM, VSM, AOC-in-C EAC, SIDM, and distinguished guests from the CII.

The inaugural ceremony will feature addresses from speakers and military leadership, setting the tone for three days of intense dialogue and collaboration. This information was provided in a press release issued by the Army on Thursday.
