Yogendra Prasad, the Jharkhand Government's Minister for Drinking Water & Sanitation and Excise & Prohibition, visited Global Hospital in Ranchi to meet Nutan Topo, a tribal student from Jharkhand who was injured during a student protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. This visit was undertaken on the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Minister Yogendra Prasad inquired about Nutan Topo's health and held a detailed discussion with the attending doctors regarding her medical condition. He instructed the doctors to ensure that Nutan receives the best possible medical care and that there is no lapse in her treatment.
It is noteworthy that Nutan Topo was injured by the use of a pellet gun during the student protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi; she is currently undergoing treatment at Global Hospital in Ranchi.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Yogendra Prasad said, "Jharkhand's daughter is not alone. The state government stands firmly with her in every situation. We are confident that Nutan will soon recover and pursue her dreams again with renewed enthusiasm and self-confidence." He also prayed to the Almighty for her speedy and complete recovery.
Deepika Pandey Singh, Minister for Rural Development, Rural Works, and Panchayati Raj, and MLA Vikas Singh Munda were also present on this occasion. All three public representatives assured Nutan and her family of all possible government support.
