The draft electoral roll for Jharkhand will be published on August 5, 2026, as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign. Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar stated that following an extensive verification and mapping drive, only 5.3 percent (1,402,262) of voters in the state now remain in the 'un-mapped' category.

He noted that a list of 7,062,319 un-mapped voters had been published at all polling stations across the state on May 23, 2026. Subsequently, the number of un-mapped voters steadily declined due to a special campaign conducted with the cooperation of Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Booth Level Agents (BLA-2) of recognized political parties, volunteers, and the voters themselves. Following the completion of the enumeration phase on July 29, this figure dropped to 1,402,262.

The Chief Electoral Officer stated that the Election Commission of India has designated the electoral roll from the previous SIR as a 'superior document.' Voters who have been successfully mapped from the previous SIR and whose records show no logical discrepancies will be included in the final electoral roll following the draft roll stage. Meanwhile, the verification of un-mapped voters will be carried out at the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) level.

He clarified that after the draft electoral roll is published on August 5, any eligible Indian citizen—whether a new voter or someone who could not be included in the list for any reason—wishing to add their name may do so by filling out Form-6 and the necessary declaration. Such voters will also be able to use the electoral roll from the previous SIR as a supporting document.
