“JPSC Has Become the ‘Jharkhand Exam Crisis Commission’; Youth’s Future Being Toyed With” — Pratul Shahdeo
Ranchi: The controversy surrounding the results of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) 14th Civil Services Preliminary Test (PT) is intensifying. Pratul Shahdeo, the Chief Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharkhand, has raised serious questions regarding the exam results and the selection process. He has demanded that the state government immediately cancel the PT results and recommend a CBI inquiry into the entire matter.
Pratul Shahdeo alleged that under the patronage of the Hemant Soren government, the JPSC has transformed from a body upholding merit and transparency into a hub of chaos and controversy. He pointed out that while 2,204 candidates were declared successful for 103 posts, the cut-off marks were not made public. Furthermore, serious questions are being raised regarding the procedure for releasing results and the signatures of the commission members.
He noted that frustration among the youth regarding competitive examinations is constantly mounting. Issues ranging from disputes over model answer keys and the non-disclosure of cut-off marks to questions about the selection process itself have created a situation that gravely impacts the future of lakhs of aspirants.
Pratul Shahdeo also alleged large-scale irregularities concerning OMR sheets. He claimed that in certain instances, discrepancies regarding marks have come to light, casting a shadow of suspicion over the entire examination process.
The BJP has demanded the cancellation of the JPSC PT results and a CBI probe into the entire episode. Additionally, the party has called for full disclosure of information regarding cut-off marks, the merit determination process, and the evaluation method, as well as strict action against any officials found guilty.
Appealing to aspirants to raise their voices in a peaceful and democratic manner, Pratul Shahdeo stated that this is not merely a fight over a single examination, but a battle for the future of lakhs of youths in Jharkhand.
State Co-Media In-charges Ajay Rai and Neeraj Singh were also present at the press conference.
